Expressive Writing

Art

Talk therapy seems to be a default go-to for processing trauma but it’s not the only way.

After asking on Facebook and LinkedIn what my next episode of Veteran Art Studio should focus on – writing was the most popular response. Mind you, I was thinking an anatomy or portrait drawing instruction video was going to be it, but I’m glad writing won out.

Before I go into why that is, here’s what were going to cover today and I’ll have each section timestamped in the comment section on YouTube.

1. Intro to Expressive Writing
2. Expressive Writing exercise in 7 steps
3. How writing saved my life
4. Recap of 7 points + cheat sheet
5. Additional resources for Expressive Writing

Below, you'll find the cheat sheet in addition to a few helpful resources on Expressive Writing.
