Flight: Los Angeles to Milan

A flight from Los Angeles (LAX), stopping briefly at London Heathrow, to Milan Malpensa (MXP). Pre-COVID-19, of course.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling a heavy dose of nostalgia over pre-COVID-19 travel. In Eric Weiner’s recent article, “Why travel should be considered an essential human activity,” he explores how many of us not only took travel for granted, but it’s instilled a newfound sense of appreciation for our small blue dot in the universe.

Since we’ve relocated to London, I’ve found myself watching travel vlogs and revisiting books that are exclusively tailored to feed the yearnings of wanderlust. Looking back on our flight from Los Angeles to Milan late 2019, I sure miss our pre-pandemic world, but I also appreciate how precious our time is while we’re here. I hope you do, too.
